  The rooms were extremely comfortable, and the bed and linens felt very rich. It is so quiet and as a result, we had a great sleep. In the morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast complete with quiche, fruit, granola, meats, english muffins, coffee, and tea. It was all VERY good and there was another couple staying there as well so it was a nice chance to mingle and meet some new people over breakfast.

  One of the coolest things about this hotel is the balcony that overlooks the main strip. It was a great place to just relax and take in the town. The best thing about staying at St. George is being able to roam around the town at night after everyone has gone home. How many people can say they've had the entire site to themselves, in the middle of the night, just strolling around with a glass of wine? You can if you stay here!

  I really can't say enough about the experience and staff at the St. George Hotel in Barkerville. We have travelled all over the world, and this is truly one of the most unique places we have ever stayed. From the second we walked in the door, it felt like we stepped back into the 1800's. We were greeted by the curator soon as we walked in, and never once did he, or his counterpart, break character. It was a really cool touch and made the stay very special. We immediately received a tour of the property and were made to feel very welcome. We really felt right at home the entire time. Upon arriving in our room, we were invited to have a seat on the balcony, or walk around and take in the town. They made it clear we could come and go as we pleased, and that was appreciated.

  Wonderful, charming, genuine and funny hosts! Delicious breakfast every morning with stories of gold mining. Cozy rooms, peaceful evenings. I enjoyed being immersed in the history of Barkerville! Thank you!
